We are excited to welcome Emma Conlisk for a fun session to learn more about truffle hunting. Most of you will know Emma & her dog Rupert from their amazing achievements with The National Nosework Association but you may not know that Emma & Rupert have taken 1st place 2 years in a row at The UK Truffle Hunting Championships.
We have 2 sessions on 17th January 2026 at our Purfleet venue where you and your dog can try your hand at truffle hunting.
This workshop is based at Purfleet, no naturally grown (at this venue )truffles will be found on the day. You will have the opportunity to search for truffle oil soaks and real truffles that have been buried by me (if available)
Learn a little about truffles, the areas of the country and conditions they’re found in; specifically soil types they’re most likely to be found. This will help you plan your days out in the future.
Develop skills:
dogs in recognising truffle odour
ground searching and teamwork in covering the ground efficiently and thoroughly.
build skills in searching different sized areas.
