KALA welcomes San Francisco Bay Area ensemble True Life Trio, on a PNW tour with their new album release At My Window, on Sunday, October 20, 7pm.
Featuring the powerful vocal talents of three dynamic performers whose musical collaboration was forged in Bay-area Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble, True Life Trio performs riveting vocal harmonies from Eastern Europe, the Americas & beyond.
At My Window, TLT's second full-length album, is a harmony-driven potpourri of uniquely arranged folk songs, ballads and dance tunes. Brimming with gutsy and colorful vocals, the album is a swirling journey through the lush musical landscapes of Ukraine, Ireland, Bulgaria, Italy, Albania, Sweden, Norway, Greece and America.
Members Leslie Bonnet, Bridget Boyle and Juliana Graffagna have been enchanting audiences in their San Francisco Bay Area home and all across the West for more than a decade with their finely-honed, heart-centered, "concert hall meets front porch" performances.
TLT shows are full of stories and passion. Interspersed with gorgeous vocal performances are tales of their travels and song collecting that bring immediacy to each tune and envelop their audiences in a knowing, warm embrace. You don’t have to speak all of the myriad languages in which TLT sings to be transported to other worlds with them–they bring you right along.
