We often think of ‘freedom’ as the power to act, speak, and change as we want without restraint. However there are times when after making these choices, we may realize that it was only temporarily liberating as it was under the influence of ego, desire or external expectations. This eventually make us a slave to our own weaknesses.
Swami Vivekananda speaks of the importance of knowledge of self in order to be free and speaks of Freedom as a universal cry of all beings. Let us explore what it means to be truly free from one of the greatest modern Indian thinkers, philosophers, and social reformers.
This Event is hosted by New Acropolis Pune, a School of Philosophy, which is run and managed completely by volunteers who come together in the common pursuit of Philosophy as a way of Life.
To make the most of this event:
• Please be there by 5:45 pm to meet other Aspiring Philosophers. Entries will be closed post 6.15 pm.
• Coffee/Tea and snacks will be available at the centre.
• Volunteers from New Acropolis will be available to receive and help you. Please ask them all your questions!
