Come dance to live music in queer community! Contra is very beginner-friendly - no partner or experience needed!Our dance features the music of Thunderwing (Cedar Stanistreet and Amy Englesberg), and calling by Qwill Duvall. Role terms are Larks and Robins.
There will be an intro lesson at 2:00, and the dance will be from 2:30-5:30.
TQC is hosted at Berith Sholom in Troy, NY. Please enter via the door on 3rd Street.
Admission is a sliding scale from $10-$20, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Cash strongly preferred; venmo available.
N95 masks or similar are required to be worn while inside. There will be some available at the door if needed.
Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes (i.e., sneakers that don't leave scuff marks) to protect the wooden floor. Also please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes and other highly scented products. All dances are smoke, drug and alcohol free.
