The Filthy Habit, is a comic opera, set in New York City in 2003, shortly after Mayor Bloomberg's smoking ban. It tells the story of a newlywed couple, Susan and Gil, who grapple with the aftermath of Susan's secret smoking habit, leading to misunderstandings and insecurities. The opera explores the dynamics of a relationship when secrets are kept and insecurities cloud emotions.
