The RGV Arts & Empowerment Foundation is proud to present an exclusive Tropical Gem Residency Weekend, created to expand access to world-class dance education and performance opportunities for dancers of all ages in the Rio Grande Valley.
This special weekend experience leads directly into Que Padre Latin Dance Festival, giving dancers the opportunity to train, connect, and perform on a professional festival stage.
✨ Residency Highlights:
🧒 Kids Dance Class
An engaging, age-appropriate class led by Tropical Gem, designed to inspire confidence, discipline, and joy through dance.
💃🕺 Tropical Gem Choreography Challenge
Participants will learn an official Tropical Gem choreography during the residency and perform it at Que Padre Latin Dance Festival 🌴
A rare opportunity to train with international artists and showcase that work on stage.
🌍 Professional Training & Mentorship
Dancers gain exposure to high-level technique, performance quality, and artistic growth — aligned with the Foundation’s mission of access and empowerment through the arts.
