Topic: Judith Watson will take us on a tour of The National Orchid Garden, Singapore. One stunning section of the Singapore Botanic Gardens is the National Orchid Garden. Over 1000 species of orchids and 2000 hybrids are on display here. Approximately half of this garden was closed for several years while redevelopment took place. The new facilities are exceptional and include the Sembcorp Cool House which houses orchids from five geographical regions from high altitudes. The Tan Hoon Siang Mist House has been expanded and shows lower growing orchids alongside many tropical plants. There is also The Yuen Peng McNeice Bromeliad Collection which displays many different genera of bromeliads in a beautifully landscaped setting alongside aroids, orchids and other tropicals. Come on a walk through this remarkable garden to see some of its treasures.

The meeting includes Plant Sale & Auction, Plant Raffle table and Show & Tell. There will be a break with light refreshments.
