Since 1995, Milwaukee’s Trolley has been quietly (and consistently) doing the work—building a catalog that pulls from psychedelia, punk, classic pop, and the hard-driving pulse of the Mod era… and turning it into something unmistakably their own.

Melodious. Urgent. Colorful.

Now in 2026, they celebrate 30 years with the release of A Carnival of Grey and White—their fifth full-length album, alongside a deep run of critically praised EPs, singles, and compilation tracks. It’s a record that captures everything Trolley has always done well: mining the past and present for a sound that feels timeless but never tired.

But this one carries weight.

Midway through recording, guitarist, vocalist, and producer Mike Perotto—one of the band’s guiding forces—passed away. What could have ended the story instead became something more. Guitarist/vocalist Paul J. Wall and bassist/vocalist Terry Hackbarth pressed forward, meticulously finishing the record and dedicating it to Perotto’s memory.

The result is a record that doesn’t just sound good—it means something.

The title track dropped on June 29th 2025, marking the fourth anniversary of Perotto’s passing. The full album followed on October 3rd, 2025—a powerful statement from a band that refuses to fade out.
