Tonight we have a local gem that knows how to throw a party; Gumbo Night with their special set up Gumbo Night Blues Band! This is the fourth night of parties for Trippin' Blues Amsterdam, our biennial (every 2 years) Blues dancing festival. At TBA we have a staggering 6 nights of parties. On Sunday we close the main festival weekend at Kompaszaal with Gumbo Night Blues Band!
Gumbo Night Blues Band brings the steamiest slice of New Orleans to Amsterdam, straight from their legendary club night at De Nieuwe Anita we bring this band to our festival. Think greasy blues joint vibes, New Orleans R&B, soul and parade vibes, stirred together until you’re convinced you can taste the gumbo in the air while you dance. If you like your Sunday night loud, sweaty and just a little bit wild, this is the finale you don’t want to miss.
And after the band's first set we have a performance from the participants of our Cabaret Track from teacher Elise Reilingh. Stay for this and cheer them on as loud as you can!
