Join us for this biennial (every 2 years) Blues dancing festival with a staggering 6 nights of parties. On Saturday we go all‑in at Kompaszaal with the Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band.
This is one of the most swinging bands on the jazz, boogie and blues scene, led by powerhouse pianist Martijn Schok with vocalist Greta Holtrop and a killer rhythm and horn section.
They serve up greasy blues, early rhythm ’n’ blues and soul‑jazz in the spirit of Ramsey Lewis – rich, rootsy and built to keep a blues dance floor buzzing from the first note to the last.
Whether you’re gliding in close embrace or going solo on the breaks, this band gives you all the texture you want: crunchy rhythms, juicy solos and big, joyful energy that begs for “one more song!”.
