Triple Threat - Newcastle Vice - Breaking Battle & Community Hip-Hop Event

Returning for it's 3rd year after sell-out editions in 2024 & 2025, UK & international B-boys & B-girls will battle it out to see who takes home the win! Whether you're a Hip-Hop head or new to the culture, a veteran dancer or taking your first steps, Triple Threat is a family friendly event for everyone to enjoy.
This years event will also feature the return of our Hip-Hop Flea Market, the installation of our Triple Threat Artists Commission Award, Live performances from local talent, dedicated cypher space and Dance City's onsite cafe providing food and drinks across the day.
We will be releasing our full event schedule, activity, invites, judges & DJ's over the next few weeks - stay tuned because we have a very exciting line-up for 2026!
Battle Categories -
3 vs 3 Crew Battle (35 sign up crews maximum) 1st place prize = £1500 + trophies & prizes
1 vs 1 Solo Battle (35 sign up spots maximum) 1st place prize = £500 + trophies & prizes
Qualifiers for both categories will be a showcase battle format (3 vs 3 crew battle = 1 round per dancer, 1 routine allowed. 1 vs 1 solo battle = 4 corners style showcase, 1 round per dancer). Judges will pick top 16 for both categories from the qualification rounds.
SIGN UPS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.
The venue has a strict capacity which will not be exceeded. You must sign up and register via Eventbrite as registration will not be available on the day of the event. Once you have purchased your tickets you will recieve a link to our battle registration E-form. Please complete this immediately. You will not be registered to battle unless this form is completed. Each dancer must be registered and have a ticket for the category they are competing in. 1 dancer = 1 ticket. Each member of your crew must have their own ticket. Registration will close 24 hours before the event.
If you are 16 or under and wish to compete you MUST be accompanied by a paying adult with a ticket.

- 14.30 - 16.00 TOP 16 3 VS 3 CREW BATTLES / TOP 16 1 VS 1 SOLO BATTLES
- 16.00 - 17.00 TOP 8 3 VS 3 CREW BATTLES / TOP 8 1 VS 1 SOLO BATTLES
- 17.00 - 17.30 SEMI FINAL 3 VS 3 CREW BATTLES / SEMI FINAL 1 VS 1 SOLO BATTLES
- 17.30 - 18.00 SHORT BREAK / CYPHER TIME
