Whether you are a DCS employee, a foster or kinship parent or grandparent, this 75 minutes of FREE training will be both educational and inspiratinoal and includes a certificate of attendance. Look for us in the Training Center at 1470 S Eastside Loop!

9:00-10:15AM - The Power of Positive Parenting

In this 35 year, evidence-based Positive Parenting Program, parents will be introduced to the five key principles of positive parenting that form the basis of Triple P. These principles are:

• Ensuring a safe engaging environment.
• Creating a positive learning environment.
• Using assertive discipline.
• Having reasonable expectations.
• Looking after yourself as a parent

Class will be taught by: Robin Blumenthal, M.A.

Robin is a trauma-informed trainer, parenting coach, speaker, and writer. She has trained within the Justice System, Schools, Non-profits, and the Faith Community. She and her husband have 4 biological and 1 adopted child. She has taught parenting classes since 2006 and is excited to share these powerful information with you!
