Triple MB: Inventing + Game Design + Golf

This is a multi-day Triple Merit Badge event with the one and only #LoneScoutJason now Eagle Scout and Merit Badge Counselor. All Scouts from any Scouting America troop in any Scouting America council may sign up to complete requirements for up to three merit badges as described below:

Game Design Merit Badge may be completed in ONE session if the scout is prepared. Please review requirements and read the Game Design merit badge booklet at

Inventing Merit Badge requires 2 meetings: April 18 and either (a) Sunday April 26 in Long Beach or (b) Sunday May 3 in Downey. Please review requirements and read the Inventing merit badge booklet at

BY APRIL 16.

Golf Merit Badge requires 18-holes in one day on Sunday May 3 in Downey from 12 noon to sunset. All scouts interested in earning the Golf merit badge must already know how to play golf. This is not a learn-how-to-play-golf session. Scouts must bring their own golf clubs and enough golf balls plus their Scoutmaster-signed BLUE CARD for Golf. NOTES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP:

1) There are no refunds for any event you/your Scout signed up for.

2) Slots are not transferable if you/your Scout cannot make the day.

3) Scouts must wear their Scout Uniform of tan shirt and olive bottoms with closed toed shoes to meet with the merit badge counselor for any merit badge session they have signed up for.

4) Scouts must bring their Scoutmaster-signed BLUE CARD(s) with an ink pen for any merit badge session meeting.

5) Any and all travel expenses including parking is not included in the event registration.

6) All Scouts must bring their 10 essentials for any of the merit badge sessions as all of the merit badge sessions are held outdoors.

7) All Scouts must bring a buddy within 3 years of age and same gender, unless siblings, to all merit badge sessions they signed up for.

8) This is NOT a drop off event for any Scout not yet 13 years old as of APRIL 15, 2026. All Scouts aged 11-13 years old must be accompanied by a registered adult of their troop and/or a parent with Safeguard Youth Training and AB506 compliance. Certificates must be emailed to [email protected] by APRIL 16 for Game Design and/or Inventing merit badge sessions and by APRIL 30 for the Golf merit badge session.

9) There are spectator fees charged by the Golf Course for any Adult companion/buddy of any Scout.
