Excitingly… an April running DOUBLE HEADER! 🏃♂️🏃♀️We’re kicking things off with the TCS Mini London Marathon on April 21st (9:00–11:30am), followed by a takeover of Junior parkrun on Sunday 26th April (8:50–9:30am)!
Across both events, we’re asking every child to complete a minimum of 2 miles in total (although those who can are very welcome to go even further!) Our goal is to see children running, walking, skipping or even dancing their way twice around the school grounds and taking that forwards to parkrun.
But here’s the BIG target…
We’re aiming for 200 runners at the Sunday parkrun — that’s roughly 1 in 3 children in our school! It would be an incredible achievement and would secure a Hereford (world!) record — a title we currently hold with 174 runners from our last event.
Even better if we could secure a few volunteers to help out - honestly, if I can do it, anyone can (and my children don't even run!)
More details will follow soon. The Fun Run will help us raise money for high-quality reading books for the whole school. The parkrun? Simply because it’s brilliant, it’s community-focused, and last time was amazing.
