Join Happy Valley Parks and Recreation for a breathtaking winter adventure on Mt. Hood! This guided snowshoe trek around the scenic Trillium Lake Loop (approximately 4.7 miles) is a must for anyone who loves mountain views, crisp alpine air, and snowy serenity. This snowshoe trek is considered moderate difficulty due to the distance (which could take 3-3.5 hrs to complete) and an 400ft elevation gain towards the end of the loop. *Please also note there are no bathrooms by the trailhead* There are bathrooms on the bus.
Led by expert guides from Mt. Hood Outfitters, you’ll learn winter wilderness tips, snowshoeing techniques, and how to identify animal tracks in the snow—all while exploring one of Oregon’s most picturesque winter trails.
After your adventure, we’ll head into Government Camp to unwind at The Ratskeller, a beloved local pizzeria and bar. Warm up by the fireplace, swap stories from the trail, and enjoy a few arcade games while savoring a well-earned lunch.
Spaces are limited—don’t miss this chance to experience Mt. Hood’s winter wonderland with friends, fun, and fresh air!
