Join us for a very special Twin Peaks Day when we celebrate the life of David Lynch at a screening of his 1992 film TWIN PEAKS FIRE WALK WITH ME on February 24th. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀: amblertheater.org/specials
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: In this prequel to the groundbreaking ‘90s television series, David Lynch resurrects the character of Laura Palmer — the homecoming queen found murdered at the beginning of the show — and delves deep into her troubled past. Regarded as one of Lynch’s best and most humane films, FIRE WALK WITH ME shades in detail missing from the overall Twin Peaks grand narrative.

A visionary artist whose influence spanned five decades, David Lynch’s filmmaking journey began in Philadelphia with ERASEHEAD in 1977, introducing a distinctive voice to American independent cinema. By incorporating elements of surrealism and magical realism, Lynch crafted films that were intended to be felt rather than completely comprehended.
His exploration into the darkness that lurks beneath the light fostered a haunting yet dreamlike ambiance in his works. Acclaimed by critics and celebrated worldwide, Lynch's oeuvre continues to inspire filmmakers and passionate cinephiles alike.
His artistic impact has also transcended the realm of cinema, as his groundbreaking series TWIN PEAKS significantly transformed the television landscape. Additionally, Lynch is recognized as a talented visual artist and musician.
As a non-profit arthouse theater, we will continue to share and honor the work of this extraordinary filmmaker with our community.
