Tribal educators, Casey Thornbrugh and Renée Lopes-Pocknett will host an evening workshop on Tribal Sovereignty from a national to local perspective. The workshop invites Tribal citizens and Tribal household members to come learn about the history and contemporary examples of Tribal sovereignty and what it means for our lives as Indigenous Peoples.The workshop will be Friday, May 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Tribal Council Chambers at the Mashpee Wampanoag Community and Government Center, 483 Great Neck Road South in Mashpee. This workshop is funded by a grant from the Mâseepee Cultural Council a local, Tribal agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council.
