JOIN OUR FREE FAMILY PROGRAMME ON 20 DECEMBER!Enjoy hands-on arts activities centred around heritage that promotes Iziko Museum’s unique exhibits and collections. Activities will be family-focused (across all ages) and located within the Museum in the Discovery Room and Sea and Us Exhibit.
Join Thandi the Time Traveller and Mr. Lystrosaurus as they explore the Stones and Bones exhibit. Sing the Lystrosaurus song with Pedro the Music Man and search for clues in the exhibit on what life was like in the Triassic, over 250 million years ago!
Guess what Lizzy the Lystrosaurus likes to eat and win a prize! Come have some fun digging up and painting fossil casts. Make some origami models and try your luck at making a Lystrosaurus mask to take home!
Saturday 20 December between 10am and 1pm

Free with Museum admission (R30 per child and R50 per adult)
There will also be a special musical show - The Mermaid of Zanzibar - with Pedro the Music Man for R100 per child.
