Building a railway through almost two thousand kilometres of desert, during a World War, is no small feat. Join us as we welcome Gabby Sexton, Curator and Business Manager at the National Railway Museum, to discover some of the hidden gems tucked away in the National Railway Museum’s collection!
Hear interesting tales of the Trans-Australian Railway’s history and the importance of services such as the Tea and Sugar Train.
Followed by a walk through Camel Trains to Steel Wheels: Life on the Trans-Australian Railway on display at State Library of South Australia.
This event will be held in collaboration with the National Railway Museum.
