Tri for a Cure Volunteer Opportunities - 2024

The 17th annual Tri for A Cure will take place on Sunday, July 14 on the campus of Southern Maine Community College, in South Portland, ME. This event is a fundraiser for Maine Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization, and the proceeds from the race are used to fund statewide programming aimed at improving prevention, screening, and access to care right here in Maine. We appreciate your commitment to the cause and to the athletes. Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The 17th Annual Tri for a Cure could not happen without you!

• Expo Day is Saturday, July 13 and Race Day is Sunday, July 14. There are opportunities to volunteer on each (or both!) days.
• The event will go on RAIN OR SHINE.
• Wear comfortable shoes, bring sun block, hat, rain gear, water bottle and extra snacks.
• Some positions you are welcome to bring a lawn chair.
• We will provide snacks and water. If you have special food needs, please bring them with you.
• We will do our best to assign you to the job you requested. We have over 500 jobs to fill so we are hoping you are flexible.
• Please let us know about any limitations you have regarding walking distances or standing for extended periods of time.
• Your most important job on race day is to support the athletes. Clapping, cheering & words of encouragement are needed from you to show your support.
