Children, youth, families, and residents of all ages are invited to discover the fun and thrill of BMX racing at Tri-City BMX. Whether you're a first-time rider, experienced racer, or simply curious about the sport, this free community event offers the perfect opportunity to learn to ride and find out more about BMX, meet local riders and coaches, watch exciting races, and even give it a try yourself.
Get Active and Discover a New Adventure
Bring your own bike—a BMX bike is not required—or borrow one of Tri-City BMX's bikes.
Preschool-aged riders can explore the Balance Bike Course.
Learn the basics of BMX racing and bike handling from experienced riders and coaches.
Take a lap on the track during open riding sessions.
Challenge yourself by entering your first race or cheer on participants in the Schenectady County Tri-City BMX Community Race.
Watch fast-paced race demonstrations throughout the day featuring talented local riders.
Safety First
Helmets are required for all riders.
Tri-City BMX strongly recommends wearing a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and closed-toe shoes while riding on the track.
