Tres veces sur: Catalina Schliebener Muñoz and Nicolás Cuello in Conversation

Tres veces sur is a conversation between Catalina Schliebener Muñoz and Nicolás Cuello in which they explore the multiplicity of ways that the south appears in the exhibition as a tool to critically reimagine Latin American cultural history. Schliebener Muñoz and Cuello will discuss artistic research as a queer archive, the expressive power of childish emotions, and animalized representations of brown bodies as contributing to the larger concept of a pedagogy from below. As seen in Schliebener Muñoz's exhibition, a pedagogy from below aims to challenge, fragment, and rework the constructed stereotypes about Latin America presented in Disney's films Saludos Amigos (1942) and Los Tres Caballeros (1944).

This conversation will be in Spanish with simultaneous interpretation to English.
