Meet at the car park on the washlands - accessed via Watson Street, off Branston Road. There is a barrier to prevent high vehicles and if flooded, the car park will be shut, so park on the road, bearing in mind that its by the delivery entrance for Tesco.We will walk through the market place, into the churchyard, past the library, meadowside and across the Trent Bridge, along the Stapenhill road to the Elms, then back through Stapenhill Gardens over the Ferry Bridge, along the river and double back through the washlands to the carpark. The route may vary due to the amount of water on the ground...... it is the washlands!!!
Don't forget your poop bags, please wear sensible shoes and don't forget to bring water for the dogs to drink. The river is fast flowing, tidal and not suitable for swimming in.
There will be swans and hostile geese!
