The day will include:

Practical tools to understand what's driving voice difficulties

Strategies to improve carry-over from therapy into real-world voice use.

The CEN AGM will also take place during the day.

Chris Johnson:

Chris currently sits on the affiliate board for the National Centre For Voice & Speech in US - a cutting edge voice research organisation chaired by Dr. Ingo Titze.
Chris also thoroughly enjoys the work he does with singing teachers all over the world. Through his training company TeachVoice.com and his ‘Evolve’ singing teacher development program, he helps coaches to up-skill and navigate the overwhelming amount of pedagogical options today.
He has presented on these pedagogical principles internationally at the Pan American Vocology Association, British Voice Association, National Association Of Teachers of Singing (NATS US), Vocology In Practice, AOTOS, and ANATS.
In compliment to coaching, Chris has trained in laryngeal manual therapies and studied extensively with scientists in vocal acoustics, physical and somatic therapy, and laryngology.
Through his popular podcast and blog, The Naked Vocalist, he has also had the opportunity to connect and share with many progressive voice researchers and pedagogues.

Carrie Garrett:

Carrie Garrett is a Voice Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, vocal coach, and Clinical Director of The Singer’s Clinic. She brings a breadth of experience from professional performance, singing teaching, and choir leadership through to specialist clinical work in voice rehabilitation across NHS and independent practice. She supports singers and professional voice users with a wide range of voice disorders, combining evidence-based therapy with a strong understanding of vocal pedagogy. Carrie specialises in helping singers recover, optimise, and sustain their voices and is passionate about collaborative, multidisciplinary voice care. Alongside her clinical work, Carrie provides supervision and mentorship for Speech and Language Therapists. She is also co-founder of VitaVoice, a science-informed supplement supporting the wellbeing of professional voice users.
