Tree Planting in Chesterfield

Make a difference in a few hours that can last decades! ReLeaf Michigan, a non-profit tree organization, is partnering with Chesterfield Twp., Green Macomb, Macomb County Planning and Economic Development, and Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy to plant 30 trees at Monarch Meadows. These trees will help to add beneficial shade, fall color, and absorb noise from the adjacent freeway in addition to increasing the local tree species diversity.
ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts will be there to show volunteers how to plant a tree and oversee the event. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, hard rake, and gloves if you have them. Family-friendly event occurs rain or shine (we’re a hardy group!). No planting experience necessary. We hope to see you there!
