Treatment Planning for the Edentulous Patient

Course Description:

This course will cover edentulous patient options from digital dentures to screw-retained, fixed implant supported dentures. Technology presumes there's just one right way to do things and there never is. This program will help you understand and determine the best options for each patient based on multiple factors including vertical dimension, smile line, and patient compliance among others. This program will also cover the indications and intended use of several different options. Features and benefits of digital dentures, treatment planning for the edentulous patient and overdentures, and All on X treatment options will be presented and discussed. Digital workflows for each type of restoration will be included. Hand-on activities will encompassed in the course so that you learn how to complete each step along the way.

• Be able to evaluate the different options for the edentulous patient and select the best option for each patient. 
• Know how to incorporate the entire dental team into the decision making process.

Kurtis Helm, CDT is the owner and CEO of Helm Dental Laboratory, LLC in Wylie, Texas. He earned his degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and went on to serve five years in the United States Air Force as a Dental Laboratory Technical Trainer.
