Traveling Together Sangha

Greetings! As we face this world with an open heart and mind we see that where we are now is not where we have always been. We see that we have changed. We have moved. We have traveled. As individuals, families, and communities we have embarked on this both beautiful and difficult journey we call life. We find one another walking side by side on this winding road and know we are not alone.
At the same time, we see in this world the harsh treatment of those who venture from their homes in search of better lives. We witness the suffering of our fellow human beings who are moved against their will or out of necessity. We do not need to travel far to find news that makes our hearts break.
It is from this place of recognition that we are all travelers journeying together that we at Daifukuji would like offer the new Traveling Together Sangha. We are a group dedicated to looking deeply into where we come from, where we are, who we travel with, and how we are all being treated. This will include a brief dharma talk, zazen, discussion, and finally an invocation of Jizo to watch over all travelers.
We will meet monthly at 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. on the first Friday of each month starting in August (8/7/26).
We warmly invite all to join us as we discuss our journeys, honor the world's suffering, deepen our practice, and travel together.
This monthly gathering will be facilitated by Jordan Soujin Phillips and Rev. Jiko Nakade.
