Please join us for weekly yoga at the Maine Resiliency Center!
Yoga can offer an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body, and explore practices that support relaxation, restoration, and resilience. Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced before, all experience levels are welcome.
Classes will be led by Kelli DuBose, whose bio can be found below. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace and take what feels right for them.
MRC staff will be available during each class to provide support, if needed.
A limited number of yoga mats are available onsite, and you are always welcome to bring your own.
*ASL interpretation is available upon request. Please contact [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements.
About Kelli DuBose:
Kelli discovered yoga in a dusty recreational room over thirty years ago when yoga was not as popular as today. Everything about it was perfect! Over the years, this mom, runner, soccer player, and high school English/History teacher practiced yoga. Slowly and surely, it deepened from a physical practice to an emotional and spiritual way of life. Some of the trainings that have influenced Kelli’s approach to a class: Restorative Yoga Training for calming the nerves and the soul; Trauma Sensitive Training for helping the students feel safe and comfortable; Traumatic Brain Injury Training for those recovering from concussions, strokes and other neurological conditions; Yoga for the Cancer Patient; and most recently, Somatic Yoga Teacher Training for releasing emotions and experiences stored in the body. Classes by Kelli are slower and inclusive. All are welcome. Kelli is also a Master (Level III) Reiki practitioner. She donates her time to the Dempsey Cancer Center where she offers weekly Reiki sessions and teaches Restorative/Gentle yoga to the Center’s clientele and family.
