About this Event

Join Trauma-informed Yoga Teacher Mary Keelfor an experiential exploration of trauma-informed teaching in yoga settings.
This workshop blends an embodied yoga practice with an interactive educational experience designed to help yoga teachers, trainees, and wellness professionals create safer, more inclusive, and empowering learning environments.
The morning begins with a 90-minute all-levels yoga practice that intentionally reflects key trauma-informed principles such as choice, accessibility, and nervous system awareness. Following practice, participants will engage in a 2-hour workshop exploring how language, consent, classroom culture, and teacher presence directly shape the student experience.
Together, we will explore the six principles of Trauma-Informed Care and translate them into practical, usable tools for teaching yoga with greater clarity, care, and awareness.

• Explore practical teaching strategies that support safety, trust, choice, and empowerment • Learn how language and communication influence student experience
• Develop awareness around consent, accessibility, and professional boundaries
• Leave with practical tools that can be immediately integrated into teaching and facilitation
