Miami Poetry Club! (2 Monthly Workshops)

Miami Poetry Club offers no-cost, bi-weekly writer's workshops that are open to writers of all levels and genres. We help writers write, refine,and recite.

Every 2nd Wednesday - Generative Workshop:
We'll give you a surprise writing prompt & excercise, time, and space to write, and then the opportunity to share on a microphone if you want to.

Every 4th Wednesday - Writer's Lab, Feedback Workshop:
Bring a work in progress * and share it with a group of writers to better hear your voice and get feedback from other writers to help you improve your piece. *Please bring 5 copies of your work in progress . Some limited printing time is available at the venue. If you need printing, email to [email protected] by [6pm] on the day of the event. Send something even if you think you might not want to share, so you can be prepared.

Mission:

Our mission is to provide inclusive accessible poetry education and events to amplify and enrich the lives of Miamians through the transformational power of writing and community.
Our programming includes bi-weekly writing workshops, Spoken Waves Poet Series & Fundraiser, Poetry Playground Advanced Workshops, MPC Showcase, and the virtual publication of local writers.
Miami Poetry Club (MPC) is dedicated to being a central, multicultural public literary organization to cultivate the next generation of great Miami writers and further establish Miami as a hub for literary arts where our diverse stories are celebrated, cultivated, and shared with the world, striving for "A writer in every home."

Miami Poetry Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered with the state of Florida. We're currently in the process of applying for tax exemption with the IRS.
