Introduction to Trauma-Informed Practice for Youth Workers

3 hr workshop with breaks.

Ever wondered what’s really behind a young person’s behaviour?

Join us for an engaging, interactive and practical workshop exploring how trauma can influence behaviour, emotions and relationships – and what this means for everyday youth work.

What we'll cover:

• Understanding trauma and its impact on young people.
• Looking beyond behaviour to recognise unmet needs.
• Practical strategies for building trust, connection and emotional safety.
• Using real-life scenarios and group discussions to explore different approaches.

What you'll take away:

Greater confidence in responding to challenging behaviour, a fresh perspective on the young people you support, and practical tools you can put into action straight away.

Parking available on site. Tea and coffee provided.

Venue: The Vassel Centre in the Sue Mcmullen room
