Life Drawing in Bristol

NEW 2026: Monday classes starting January 2026!

This relaxed life drawing class takes place in Stokes Croft, Bristol on a weekly basis. We have a different live model each week who will take a variation of poses for you to draw. You can focus on whatever you like, bring whatever drawing materials you like and won't be given any rules or instructions (although we can provide guidance if you're stuck).

• The class is at Hamilton House, Stokes Croft, Bristol. You will be able to access the building via the main doors from 6:15pm, and class starts at 6:30pm.
• From the end of January, we will also have Monday night life drawing from 6:30pm - 8:00pm as well as our usual Thursday night slot.
• ALL abilities welcome. The class is not tutored, but if you'd like some help or guidance, just ask.
• The model will usually perform a range of different poses from 5 minutes to 30 minutes in length, although some sessions may differ, and some have themes which are listed below.
• We have paper, pencils, charcoal, erasers and sharpeners which are free to use. We strongly encourage you to bring along any other materials you'd like. We also have drawing boards and a few easels.
• The event is ticket only - you can only buy them here!

8th January - Staff - Connor will be joining us using the simple and architectural prop of a wooden staff.

15th January - Dance - Malena, a dancer and performer, will be experimenting with poses informed by dance and movement for this session.

22nd January - Hoop - back by popular demand!! Maeve, our fabulous model, will be using a hula hoop to inform her poses for this session.

29th January - Boxing - a reschedule of a theme from the Autumn, boxer Indica will be joining us for some powerful and dynamic boxing poses.

If a class sells out, you also now have the option of joining in our waitlist in the case of cancellations. If you join the waitlist and someone cancels, you will be contacted. If you're not contacted, sadly we don't have any space for you.

In case of any no-shows, you are welcome to try on-the-door. We can take cash or provide a QR code for payment, but we cant guarantee we'll definitely have a space for you and you may get turned away!
