This quarterly training is designed for community members and volunteers who want to be informed about sex trafficking and how they can be a part of the work we are doing to support survivors at A Safe Place.
During this session, we’ll take a close look at what trafficking actually looks like in our city. We will learn about how it happens, who is most vulnerable, and the patterns we’re seeing right now. We’ll also give a broader overview of trafficking trends and how they shape the experiences of survivors locally.
From there, we’ll dive into the heart of our work: how our organization shows up for survivors through programming that supports, empowers, and encourages them. We’ll talk about what to expect when volunteering with us, how to engage well and how to build relationships with our members.
This training will take place at 5:30pm. Please email us at [email protected] to reserve your seat today.
Trauma & Trafficking is also the prerequisite to volunteering with our organization.
