Trataka is an ancient meditation practice that uses candle gazing to improve and strengthen eyesight, clear the mind, and open the "third eye", i.e. attain heightened spiritual awareness. Students will learn and practice the complete routine of Trataka, beginning with gentle eye exercises.  Studies have proven Trataka to be beneficial in healing many disorders of the eyes, reversing eye diseases and rebuilding eyesight.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to experience one of the ancient practices of yoga kriya that is not commonly found in the US due to very few qualified instructors.  Many people have described profound spiritual experiences after one session of Trataka.  Students will learn how to continue their practice at home. Amita Jain has been teaching yoga and trataka for over 25 years.
