About this Event
What is Trashtoberfest? Trashtoberfest is a one-of-a-kind Oktoberfest-style celebration for Colorado’s waste, recycling, and sustainability professionals. Hosted by two of the state’s leading organizations — SWANA Rockies Chapter and Recycle Colorado — this fall event brings industry experts and community members together for an evening of networking, German food, beer, music, and games in a casual, educational setting.
We’re expecting 200+ attendees representing the full spectrum of the materials management industry — haulers, municipalities, composters, recyclers, policy-makers, and suppliers — for this family-friendly community event.
What to Expect:
- Oktoberfest Fun: Head to Zwei Brewery for an evening of German food, live music, and fun games.
- Entertainment: Enjoy live music by Polka Folka from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Participate in games like "Das Boot" and a Beer Stein Holding contest around 7:00 PM.
- Food & Drink: Indulge in a German-inspired buffet with bratwurst, pretzels, and more! Food will be provided. Bier will have to be purchased from Zwei.
- Networking: Connect with others in the solid waste and recycling industry in a relaxed and fun environment.
- Education: Learn more about refuse management, waste, recycling, and organics.
