Trash removal at Belle Haven Park

The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be removing trash from the trail north of Belle Haven Park.

Volunteers may perform some of the following work:

• Picking up trash
• Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetation

What to Bring:

• Water
• Gloves (We'll have some to borrow)
• Long sleeves and long pants (to prevent poison ivy)

Where to Meet:

We will meet at the northern end of the Belle Haven Park parking lot. See the picture below of where to meet on the trail.

COVID Safety Precautions:

• We follow current CDC guidance
• Work will be performed outside with room to socially distance

Group Volunteering:

We welcome groups to come volunteer at our events. If you plan on having more than 20 people come on a particular weekend, just let us know via email ([email protected]) no less than one week prior to the day of the event so we can better prepare supplies and promote your group’s attendance on social media.
