Trash People of Logan Square - Ice Cream Social and Community Clean-Up!

Join us for a clean-up + ice cream social OR simply swing by Jeni's between 4p-7p for a tasty scoop that also benefits Trash People!
About this Event

We're gonna pick up trash but also eat ice cream (not at the same time). For this community clean-up, we'll kick things off at the Monument and go on an abridged hunt for trash. When we wrap up, we'll saunter over to Jeni's (2512 N. Milwaukee) for some ice cream! From 4p - 7p, they will be graciously donating 25% of all sales to Trash People! We fully encourage anyone who can't join us for this clean-up to swing by Jeni's during that time frame to get a tasty snack and also support our efforts! It's a proverbial win-win!

What to expect:

• Meet us at 5:15pm at the Monument! Please arrive on time as we will immediately distribute materials and go over logistics! We will hit the streets for a slightly abridged clean-up (50 minutes or so), and once we wrap up we'll head over to Jeni's for ice cream and whatnot! Please note advanced registration is essential due to the number of interested participants - please don't just show up!

• Everyone is welcome, and we hope you'll join us, especially if you haven't been before! We are a friendly bunch and exist not only to contribute to our community, but to make new friends within it, too :)

What to bring

• Please check the weather and bring appropriate clothing/supplies - specifically you may like to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer. Be sure to wear comfortable and weather-appropriate shoes.

• No need to bring anything else - we supply all equipment (bags, gloves, grabbers, etc.)

• If you want to bring a friend, please also have them register via the Eventbrite link so we can plan accordingly - we also need all attendees to acknowledge our waiver.

What not to bring

• We love pets, but you'll need both hands, and we'll be working near busy streets! We regret dogs aren't allowed to join Trash People events, but you're very welcome to show us pictures :)

• We mostly work near busy roads, so for safety reasons, our events are adult-only (18+).

• If the event is fully booked, please add yourself to the waitlist or join us for the next one! In order to keep the group manageable for us as organizers, to ensure we have enough supplies, and to ensure all participants have signed our waiver, we require all attendees to have formally RSVPd through Eventbrite.
