From the creator of Donnie Darko, writer-director Richard Kelly presents a surreal apocalyptic satire set in an alternative USA. An action movie star (The Rock) with amnesia finds himself in the middle of a vast conspiracy involving twins on opposite sides of the law (Sean William Scott) and an adult movie actor (Sarah Michelle Gellar) launching her own reality series. With a supporting cast of ex-Saturday Night Live stars, Justin Timberlake lip-synching to The Killers, and an electronic score by Moby, this is a cult time-capsule of 2000s mystical energy.
