Alright pinball humans. We are gonna try to do something epic. But it’s going to take commitment for the community to pull it off.
Introducing the Trappers Pinball Campout: a 3 day pinball Campout in Fort Buenaventura Ogden at an old mountain man camp at the confluence of the Ogden and Weber rivers.
Details: event is 4-6 September. $80 entry, 4 player groups in pingolf. Different banks of games. Campout (group camp, individual sites accommodating 8 people each and dry camping for RVs available) with a separate fee for campers. (Not included in tournament entry) We will have a beer garden sponsored by Talisman Brewing Company and food trucks plus a disc golf tournament in the 7th. And a poorly stocked fishing pond for the 4th. There will be side tournaments, women’s tournaments, a kids tournament and stall ball. And if you’re not the camping type, downtown ogden is literally 5 mins away so you can hotel or Airbnb it up to your hearts content. Early arrival available Thursday the 3rd and late departure the 7th if people are hardcore into camping. If we get 80 players, top 32 make A finals. Side tournaments will be sanctioned and cost $5 to enter. And there’s pay showers…
Call for games: if you want to bring a game and help support this Dory Hill style tournament, we are grateful, we will need a minimum of 20 games to pull this off successfully. The goal is 40 games to accommodate the desired max participation of 80 participants. When you register, please communicate if you’re willing/able to volunteer a game and what game/games you’re thinking about. No requirement to bring a game, but without enough games, it won’t happen.
Registration opens 28 Jun at 1000. Send an email to [email protected] if you want a spot. � if we haven’t got at least 40 dedicated players at 20 pins by August 1st we will cancel and refund everything and try again in 2027.
Those of us lucky enough to go to Dory Hill know how awesome it is and how it perfectly blends the hardcore competitors with the chill players and the casual owners and the serious collectors all in one. We are trying to replicate this in Utah and make Utah a pinball destination for the broader pinball community.
