About this Event
On Wednesday, November 20th, from 12:15pm to 1:30pm, a Transgender Day of Remembrance commemoration will be held in the President’s Lounge located in the main Dining Hall to remember those who were lost to anti-transgender violence, while highlighting the significant increase in hate violence against trans people, especially those of color.
Featured speakers include Deputy Director for LGBTQ+ Affairs in the NYS Governor’s Office, Chanel Lopez, and Tiffany Jade Munroe, Trans Justice Coordinator at the Caribbean Equality Project.
Free transgender flags and ribbons will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
