Transgender Day of Remembrance - Candlelight Vigil & Bridge Light Up

The Story Bridge in Meanjin/Brisbane will be illuminated in the colours of the Trans flag as a symbol of visibility, remembrance, and solidarity with trans and gender-diverse communities here in Australia and around the world.
The lighting will honour those we have lost to violence and suicide, acknowledging the grief carried by our communities and the importance of creating a world where every Trans, Gender Diverse and Non-Binary person can live safely, authentically, and with dignity.
We will also hold a short commemorative ceremony overlooking the bridge, bringing our community together to pause, reflect, and remember those whose lives have been lost.
As we honour those who are no longer with us, we reaffirm that trans lives matter, that every life has value, and that we must continue working towards a future where all trans people can live free from violence, discrimination, and fear.
