About this Event
Join us in transforming the way we eat and support our communities!
We’re raising awareness about Food Clubs—an exciting way to create a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable food system. Together, we can make nutritious, locally sourced food the norm, one street corner at a time.
The Food Problem
South Africa's food system is burdened by historical injustices, centralised control by large agricultural corporations and supermarket chains, and unsustainable farming practices. These factors weaken small businesses, undermine local economies, and leave communities vulnerable to external shocks. Additionally, poor nutrition, waste, and ongoing social and animal injustices are exacerbating the situation. There is a pressing need for a shift toward a food system that promotes health, sustainability, and fairness for both people and the planet.
Meet Food Club Hub
Food Club Hub is transforming the way communities access nutritious food by enabling neighbors to pool their resources and purchase directly from farmers and food-makers committed to sustainability. By leveraging the power of the internet, Food Club Hub fosters local collaboration, offering affordable, ethically sourced food that supports environmentally responsible farming. Their mission is to build a resilient, regenerative food ecosystem in South Africa that prioritizes transparency, community empowerment, and sustainable practices.
At this event, you’ll discover how to host a Food Club, join one, or connect a local farmer to Regen Ag SA and Food Club Hub. Now is the time to take action—be part of a movement that is changing the way we grow, share, and enjoy food. Let’s build a future where every meal supports a thriving, regenerative food network.
