Transforming Insight into Impact


This PFLAG Tulsa event will feature a presentation of recent qualitative research examining how public policy impacts 2SLGBTQ+ family systems. A moderated panel discussion with local leaders and community partners will focus on research-informed strategies and ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive Tulsa for children, youth, and families.

Panelists include:

Dr. Amy McGehee, researcher and community advocate, moderator

Krystal Reyes, City of Tulsa Deputy Mayor

Dr. Maritza Cartagena, Tulsa Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO

Travis Handler, ACLU of Oklahoma Foundation Legal Fellow

Hailey Briggs, Oklahomans for Equality Executive Director

Xavier Graves, Executive Director of Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma

Dinner will be provided to encourage connection and collaboration. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.
