About this Event
Introducing...Transformational Conversations.
Are you a fellow conversation addict looking to grow and push yourself to new conversational depths?
To be the kind of person that can transform any conversation into something deep, meaningful and connection-fuelled - the kind of conversation we crave. The kind of conversation that expands and reshapes the way you see the world.
Or perhaps you’ve released that your impact in the world is limited by and dependent on the quality of our relationships and how we communicate with each other. We need each other to do things with and for us.
Or maybe you’re a life-shifter and realise that everything starts with a conversation: secret life & work opportunities, sales and new clients, dating and romantic relationships, friendship, interviews, new ideas, negotiation…. the list goes on! We can teach you how to accelerate this process.
There is a reason human-to-human skills are in The World Economic Forum’s Top 10 Skills of the Future. Luckily, these skills can be learnt.
This Workshop Is For You If:
- Transactional networking makes you shiver but you value building connections in a network.
- The thought of scripted awkward small talk leaves you tired and frustrated. You’re seeking more depth, meaning, authenticity, play or adventure in your conversations and life.
- You want to build trust and connect with new potential clients or investors immediately and become the one they will never forget.
- You want to expand your career horizons or tap into secret opportunities that only come through humans.
- You want to break out of stuck and limiting patterns in your conversations with loved ones.
- You want to know how to get into novel, unusual topics of conversations seamlessly.
- You want to develop and hone your curiosity muscle.
- You want the superpower of being able to talk to anyone, anywhere (yes, anywhere!).
- You want to know how to be such a good listener that everyone will tell you their deepest, darkest secrets…
- You’ve read the books, attended the courses and yet you haven’t found your edge quite yet. You want to discover deeper levels within yourself? We’ll take you there.
This is a Taster Workshop to the Transformational Conversations Programme
At Transformational Conversations: A Taster Workshop, Trigger Conversations’s Founder, Coach & TEDx Speaker Georgie Nightingall, will teach you three key tools (curiosity mindset, breaking ‘scripts’ and creating offers) to navigate small talk and ignite greater depth, insights and authenticity into your conversations.
This highly experiential virtual workshop is an introduction to the skills you will develop on Trigger’s 6-week Transformational Conversation Programme, held virtually & in person in Spring this year. The programme is a virtual 6-week accelerator programme (15th Apr - 20th May, 7-9:30pm) or 3 day in person workshop (28th-30th Mar) for lifelong learners to give you 21st conversation superpowers you were never taught at school. Fun. Insightful. Practical.
You will gain the tools to authentically have the conversations you crave with family, friends, colleagues or strangers, thereby enabling you to create deeper connections, discover unexpected opportunities or become never unforgettable.
Supported by Georgie, the course leader, you will look inside to identify and understand the habits and barriers preventing you from connecting more deeply with others and gain the confidence to take greater risks in your conversations.
Who is Leading the Workshop?
Georgie Nightingall
The Founder of Trigger Conversations – A ‘conversation addict’ Georgie has empowered 1600+ people to have over 5000 meaningful conversations at Trigger events for the London Community, for universities, businesses, charities, global networks and communities. Bored of being asked ‘what do you do?’In 2016 she went on a mission to discover the formula for engineering a meaningful conversation, anywhere. She also delivers training workshops and programmes (like this one!) through Trigger and was recently featured in Joe Keohane's 'The Power of Strangers' (Penguin, Jul 2021). Her ideas have also been featured on the front page of The Times, TEDx, The Week, The Telegraph, The Independent, City AM, Huffington Post, NBC News, The Daily Mail and BBC etc. - you can read them here.
A lifelong learner and personal development junkie, she has picked up degrees in Philosophy (MA Hons), Applied Psychology & Applied Linguistics (MSc) and is on PhD programme in Human Connectivity Design at Imperial College. And less formally, she has trained in Non Violent Communication, Authentic Relating, Vipassana Meditation, Improvisation, Zouk Partner Dancing and a variety of embodied modalities. She brings this rich diversity of experience into her work as an ICF-accredited life coach, facilitator, trainer and community builder.
She loves to ask questions, buy more books than she has space for and smile at strangers (85% contagion rate!). Small actions create ripples that can change the world.

‘Clear, concise and engaging. Clearly structured - a nice mix of practical exercises and talking interaction. Nicely broken down into different sections. Clear, sensible and practical ideas to take away and try whatever level you are at.'
‘I left with a greater tool kit on how to move away from small talk, in a way that genuinely feels natural and authentic and invites others to do the same. Highly recommend it!’ – Emma, Account Manager
‘The strength by a mile is Georgie, and her incredible passion and knowledge for the subject. She is also a fantastic teacher. Her methodical approach really helped me understand the successful components of a conversation. She gave me all the tools to understand the basics of a successful conversation, and I was able to practise these to radically improve my convo skills. This was incredibly powerful and definitely something that I would recommend to others looking to develop the foundations of a successful conversation. Thanks so much Georgie’ - Shaun, Entrepreneur
‘I've gained a set of tools to use in conversation to get to know people in my life more deeply and had ample opportunity to test them out in a safe and supportive environment. It was also an opportunity to examine our own habits and unconscious assumptions surrounding the way we interact with the people around us, the chance to try out other ways of being and gently expand my own sense of self and what I’m capable of. As those assumptions dissolve I'm feeling more free to be vulnerable and authentic and courageous in my interactions from day to day.’ - Lizzy, Teacher
‘This was a great session. It was eye-opening and informative. Georgie offered many interesting and pertinent insights. I think the clear structure offered digestible takeaways and the level of class interaction really made it unique- it was one of the best classes I've ever taken.’ - BPP Law Student
’Georgie was fantastic. Best training I have attended in a long time and she was very helpful on LinkedIn after.’ - BPP Law Student
‘This is a unique course that not only provides tools to develop conversational skills but also insights on how you relate to yourself and others. ‘- Nita, L&D Programme Lead
‘My experience was very positive: Georgie clearly put a lot of thought, research and rich personal experience into crafting the content - which was excellent. The blend of practical tools, reflection on mindset, coaching, homework, etc. all worked very well together – felt like a ‘complete’ way of building conversational skills. The way she facilitated the group was also great – she created a really open, accepting space for us to learn, share, laugh and play together. One thing I’m stepping away with is a sense of courage and confidence knowing that striking up a conversation with a stranger or going deep in conversation isn’t difficult – don’t need to be clever to be a good conversationalist – you just need to be curious and open. I was also surprised by how a small question can open the door to a whole range of conversational possibilities – all it takes is some careful listening, echoing / reflecting, gentle questioning and reciprocal sharing. The sort of connections I’d like to be experiencing on a daily basis now feel more within reach thanks to the programme.’ - Laura, Managing Director
