You are invited to join other local faith communities for a Trans Prayer March on November 23. We will gather at Jergen's Park at 4:00 p.m. We will learn a few contemplative, prayerful songs and then proceed to Hoffner Park. Once we arrive there, we will have a short program. We expect everyone to follow all pedestrian and traffic laws as we proceed from one park to the other.Begin: Jergen's Park, 1615 Bruce Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223
End: Hoffner Park, 4101 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223
During November, faith leaders and communities are planning these marches in cities across the country to lift our voices in prayer and solidarity, affirming the sacred worth of all people, rejecting hateful legislation that lends itself to discrimination and danger, and resisting every attempt at erasure. This is not a protest spurred just by despair, but a call for hope — a spiritual act of resistance and a holy demand for social and legislative protection. Join us in demanding a flood of justice over trans and gender non-conforming lives with a future hope that all people can live safely and freely as all they are created to be.
Local organizers include: Chapters Northside, Clifton United Methodist Church, and Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church. Read more from Kaleidoscope, the national organizers, here: https://kaleidoscopeusa.notion.site/transprayermarch
Kaleidoscope's Guidelines for March Participants
1. Center Love & Respect
Approach everyone with compassion. This is a spiritual space — no shaming, judgment, or arguing.
2. Protect Each Other
If you see someone in distress, ask how you can help or alert an organizer. Move together, not alone.
3. Be Visible, Be Peaceful
Our power is in our peace. We march prayerfully — no aggressive engagement with counter-protesters or police.
4. Accessibility First
Let those with mobility needs lead the pace. Keep sidewalks clear and offer support when needed.
5. Keep It Interfaith
All prayers, songs, and chants are welcome — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Humanist, and beyond. We honor this gathering as showing support for the Trans community from all faith and spiritual communities
6. No Alcohol or Substances
This is a sober, sacred space. Please refrain from using substances before or during the march.
7. Photography & Consent
Ask before taking photos or videos, especially of trans youth or spiritual moments.
8. Environmental Care
Carry out what you bring in. Respect the city and the earth we walk on.
