Shamans in different tribes and cultures have been using Trance Dancing as a healing technique for thousands of years.
Through Trance Dancing we alter our consciousness and enter non- ordinary reality or what Frank Natale calls ‘the world of Spirit’, that world beyond time and space where everything is possible.
Trance Medicine Retreat is an invitation to a moving inner journey and self exploration. These days are also an opportunity to dive deeper into Trance Dancing as a powerful method for healing and transformation, bringing into wholeness the many splits inside.
While Trance Dancing, our body-mind-energy shifts through different inner layers. When we consciously and intentionally move the body, our energy moves and transforms.
As Gabrielle Roth would say, using movement as a healing agent we dynamically transform all that inertia - physical, emotional, mental – into energy and ultimately into ecstasy.
During these 5 days, Trance Dancing and Ecstatic Shaking will be pure medicine that we take and explore daily with trust and curiosity.
The mysterious healing magic of the neo shamanic rituals, trance postures or shamanic journeys are ingredients of this Trance Medicine Retreat.
Reawakening the wild Spirit in us, we will passionately dance and shake our truth. We invite an explosion of the heart, an awakening of the heart. And when we accept and live the purity of our wild heart, time and space transforms and healing naturally happens.
The program is highly experiential and includes:
• different Trance Dance Rituals dedicated to multiple aspects of (your) Life
• Trance Dancing and Shaking as movement medicine and heart awakening practices
• Trance ritual of connecting to your power animal
• Trance with Cacao ceremony
• Shamanic Journeys and ritual postures
• exploring various trance (inducing) methods: static vs kinetic trance
• OSHO Active Meditations
• Singing Circle
• transformational breathing techniques
• exploring and deepening the connection and intimacy with (being in) Darkness as a source of regeneration, creativity, healing and transformation
• Latihan practices which support letting go, trust and melting
• Connecting to the forest and nature energy - Silent walks and awakening the senses exercises in mountains nature
• sharing circles
• fire rituals
The retreat starts on Wednesday November 27th, 5 PM and closes on Sunday December 1st, 1.00/ 1.30 PM.
Daily program, largely:
- Wednesday, November 27th: 17.00- 21.30 (including dinner)
- Thursday Nov 28- Saturday Nov 30: 07.30- 21.30 (with 3 meals and 2 delicious tea moments)
- Sunday Dec 1: 07.30- 13.30 (with breakfast and lunch)

‘Trance Dancing and Ecstatic Shaking as healing methods are found in many cultures. During Trance Dancing Rituals many times people enter in a shaking trance, for others states of Trance appear during Shaking Rituals.
We can say that Trance Dance and Ecstatic Shaking are ways to communicate with Existence, with the Spirit, with the Divine.

This retreat process supports a profound self transformation journey. Previous experience with Trance Dance Ritual, Ecstatic Shaking and Movement/ Active Meditations is recommended to participate. If you want to participate and you have never joined any of our Trance Dance events before, you are welcome to get in touch and participate in our upcoming Trance Dance and Active Meditations events in Bucharest. If you are not from Bucharest, you can apply for individual online sessions with us before registering.
