Trampoline is presented by WSKG and hosted by the Mighty Mickie Quinn!Sadly, this is our last storytelling event at The Downstairs as the venue will be closing on December 23rd. The Downstairs’ community-supported listening room has been the perfect home for Trampoline and we will cherish being a part of its vibrant and diverse community of performers. We are devastated that Ithaca is losing this incredible gathering space.
Show up. Sign up. Tell a 5-minute personal story, without notes, inspired by this month's theme, “GETTING CAUGHT” and be judged by your peers on content and presentation. And, of course, there will be ducks from our proud sponsors at Cat's Pajamas.
This will be the final opportunity to qualify for THE BIG SHOWDOWN which will take place on Thursday, December 11th at LIQUID STATE with a celebratory dance party back at The Downstairs following the event to help raise funds to ease the financial burden of their transition.
THIS EVENT WILL BE RECORDED
We are thrilled that WSKG is sponsoring the 2025 season of Trampoline! We will be recording this event, which will be edited and eventually broadcast. Storytellers will give consent to allow their stories to be recorded and used.
Whether you decide to participate in the storytelling, serve as a judge, or sit back and enjoy listening to the stories with a thoughtful beverage - we look forward to having you there.
