About this Event
Workshop Overview:
This highly interactive workshop will cover core concepts as it relates to developing skills to provide supervision in CBT. The importance of supervision for clinician development and client outcomes will be addressed and an evidence-based approach to developing competency in supervision of practitioners will be highlighted. Methods for providing clinical feedback that promotes skill development, problem-solving and growth will be highlighted that is pantheoretical in nature. Challenges as it relates to the supervisory worling alliance will be addressed and strategies to handle any potential ruptures will be provided. Role-plays and case vigenttes will be integrated throughout the workshop. Demonstration of provision of supervision from a cognitive-behavioral/rational emotive franmework will be offered in order to model effective supervision and a Q & A to understand supervisory decisions will be offered. The workshop is for psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, and graduate students who provide supervision and wish to expand their supervisory skills.

Continuing education certificates are avaiable through the Postgraduate Professional Development Programs for a fee of $15.
