This World Elephant Day we’re inviting you to walk run or cycle in support of the rescued elephants at HERD South Africa's first and only dedicated elephant orphanage.
When: 16 August 2025
Where: Big Red Barn Irene Pretoria
Registration opens 7am | Race starts 8am
It’s a feel-good day out with a purpose:
- Fresh air
- Friendly faces
- Pups are welcome
- Dress-up fun with sponsored prizes
- A Trails for Trunks market with HERD merch for sale
Tickets: R200 per person
Includes a race tracker and medal

Distances:
- Running – 5km 10km 15km 20km
- Cycling – 12km 22km
