Join us for Trails Fest 2026!
Trails Fest is an opportunity to connect with nature in the UNESCO designated Frontenac Arch Biosphere Region through any of the six guided hikes.
Hikes are FREE (pay-what-you-can donations are welcome) and hosted in partnership between the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network and the various people and orgranizations that steward the land, water and trails of the region.
All hikes take places on the traditional territories of the of the Haudenosaunee (Kanienʼkehá꞉ka) and Anishinaabeg (Algonquin) people. We are grateful to be able to gather on this land and encourage all hikers to learn more about the histories, people and responisiblities of caring for the land and waters.
Guided hikes will be available (pre-registration recommneded) at six locations between Friday, September 11th in the afternoon and Sunday, September 13th in the morning.
Friday, September 11th
Hike #1 | Wintergreen Studios, South Frontenac at 2pm
Hike #2 | Gould Lake Conservation Area with Rideau Trail Association, South Frontenac at 5:30pm
Saturday, September 12th
Hike #3 | Mac Johnson Wildlife Area with Friends of Mac Johnson, Brockville at 10am
Hike #4 | Upper St. Lawrence Kahnekarónnion (River) with The River Institute, Brockville at 1pm
Hike #5 | Jones Falls & Rideau Canal with FABN and Parks Canada, Rideau Lakes at 4pm
Sunday, September 13th
Hike #6 | Landons Bay at Thousand Islands National Park with Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative, Gananoque at 10am
